Ingredients
  

Crust Layer:

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 12 tablespoons 1 ½ sticks salted butter, melted
  • 1 egg

Filling Layer:

  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 3 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

Preheat & Prepare

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

Prepare the Crust Layer

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and egg.
  • Stir until a soft dough forms.
  • Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the greased baking dish.

Make the Filling

  • In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  • Gradually add powdered sugar, mixing continuously.
  • Add eggs and vanilla extract, beating until fully combined.

Assemble & Bake

  • Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust layer, spreading evenly.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the edges are golden but the center remains slightly jiggly.

Cool & Serve

  • Let the bars cool completely before slicing.
  • Dust with powdered sugar for extra sweetness.
