  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

  • 1 small lemon for zest and juice
  • 2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese optional

Instructions
 

  • Wash and trim the woody ends from 1 pound of asparagus spears.
  • Dry the asparagus completely with paper towels or a clean kitchen towel.
  • Toss asparagus with 1-2 teaspoons olive oil, ¼ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon pepper, and ½ teaspoon garlic powder.
  • Preheat air fryer to 400°F for 3 minutes.
  • Arrange asparagus in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for 7-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking time.
  • Remove when tips are crispy and stems can be pierced with a fork.
  • Finish with fresh lemon zest, a squeeze of lemon juice, and optional Parmesan cheese.
