For the Honey Garlic Sauce:

  • Mince garlic cloves into small, uniform pieces
  • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar until well combined
  • Add minced ginger and red pepper flakes to the mixture
  • Stir in sesame oil and mix until the sauce is homogeneous
  • Set the sauce aside until ready to use with the shrimp

For the Shrimp:

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering
  • While oil heats, pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt and black pepper
  • Once oil is hot, carefully add shrimp to the skillet in a single layer
  • Allow shrimp to cook undisturbed for approximately 2 minutes on the first side until they turn light pink
