- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter cubed
- 3/4 cup heavy cream plus more for brushing
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 pounds fresh strawberries
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar for berries
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
Cut cold butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Combine heavy cream and vanilla, then stir into flour mixture until just combined.
