Ingredients
  

  • 4 –6 thick-cut bread slices brioche or challah recommended
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk full-fat or plant-based for dairy-free
  • 1 teaspoon McCormick® Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar mentioned in spice blend section
  • Butter for cooking

Optional Additions:

  • Pinch of nutmeg cardamom, or ginger
  • Monk fruit sweetener healthier alternative
  • Whole grain or sprouted grain bread healthier bread options
  • Maple syrup fruit compote, or whipped cream (for topping)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Batter

  • In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, McCormick ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and sugar until smooth.

Bread Soaking

  • Soak each slice of bread in the egg mixture for about 30 seconds per side. Make sure the slices are well-coated but not soggy.

Cook the French Toast

  • Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and add butter. Cook 2 slices at a time for 2–3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.

Keep Warm (Optional)

  • Place cooked slices in a 200°F oven while you cook the rest.

Serve

  • Top with warmed maple syrup, fruit, whipped cream, or other desired toppings.
